Search basics

  • Keyword search for exact terms.
  • Smart search for meaning and related content.
  • Results highlight matching text.

Filters and sorting

Use filters to narrow by:

  • Date
  • Category
  • Tag
  • Sender
  • Space

Tip: start broad, then narrow with filters.

Result types, filters and keyboard

  • Result types: above the results you choose All, Documents, Senders, Categories or Tags. Without a search term, Senders, Categories and Tags show an overview.
  • Filter with "/": type "/" into the empty search field to pick a sender, category, tag, space or year as a filter. On a phone, the filter button in the search field opens the same menu.
  • Action required: the empty search shows the documents that need something from you right now at the top.
  • Keyboard: ↑ and ↓ select a row, ↵ opens it, ⌘↵ (Ctrl+↵) shows all results, Tab switches the result type, Esc goes back one step.
