Merge, split and a search that can do the math
A lot has happened since version 0.2. Here are the highlights from March to October 2026.
New
- Merge and split documents - Combine several documents into one or split a document into parts, leaving out pages you do not need.
- Questions with numbers - Ask for example "How much did I pay for electricity in 2025?" and Paperarchive adds up the amounts from your documents.
- Due dates and early-payment discounts - Payment deadlines and discounts are detected, Paperarchive reminds you in time, and you mark paid bills right in the document.
- Overdue at a glance - Overdue bills get a clear hint in the list and in the document.
- Notifications - A notification center shows what is new and what needs your attention.
- Photos from your iPhone - HEIC photos are accepted and converted automatically.
- Multi-page scanning in the browser - On your phone you capture several pages in a row, and they land in your archive as one document.
- Sort search results - By relevance, date or name.
- Project tags - Tags for projects like "House build" or "Moving" that Paperarchive assigns to matching documents on its own.
- Connect to Claude - With the Paperarchive connector, Claude can look things up in your archive, read-only.
- Getting started - New accounts get a short checklist to get going.
- Invoices in billing - Your latest Paperarchive invoices are now listed right on the billing page.
Improved
- More accurate recognition - Sender, category, tags and amounts are detected more reliably, and Paperarchive learns faster from your corrections.
- Faster, better search - Results are more precise, and answers appear while they are being written.
- Calmer lists - New illustrations for empty views; amounts now only appear in the document itself.
- PDFs without blank pages - Downloads leave out blank pages, just like the preview.
- Duplicates - Documents uploaded twice are detected more reliably.
Fixed
- "Mark all as read" in notifications works again.
- Resolved tasks now disappear from the notifications of every member of a space.
Removed
- Print - Replaced by download and split.
